Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift | Rochester, NY
Position: Direct hire
Shift: 2nd shift (possible 4x10 schedule)
Pay: $30+/hour based on experience


Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY. This is a direct hire position offering competitive pay based on experience. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills with hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance experience in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on industrial processing, packaging, and peripheral equipment.
  • Fabricate small machine parts, guards, and other components using machining, welding (stick, TIG, MIG).
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, accumulators, and compressors.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic systems including cylinders, valves, accumulators, etc.
  • Perform pipefitting tasks as required.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Work with hardwire/relay logic, PLCs, industrial PCs, motor drives, instrumentation, and high/low voltage systems.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Comfortable working in varying conditions including hot, cold, humid, and noisy environments.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for 8+ hours.
  • Strong commitment to following safety rules and regulations.
