Maintenance Technician | Direct Hire| $28-30/hr. based on skills and experience | Onsite role in Grand Rapids, MI | Monday – Friday Day shift hours

This is a direct hire Maintenance Technician position, meaning you will be hired permanently by our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Position Information:
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on CNC machines and other production equipment to ensure optimal function and minimize operational interruptions.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in manufacturing machinery.
• Execute repairs, part replacements, and calibration procedures as needed to maintain consistent production quality.
• Respond promptly to unexpected equipment breakdowns and handle urgent maintenance tasks during assigned shifts.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and component usage in maintenance management systems.
• Collaborate with teams across departments to support safe equipment use, process improvement, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Required Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or mechatronics is a plus.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing setting, with preference for background in furniture/wood production or related fields
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, along with experience using common hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Must be able to follow preventive maintenance procedures and adapt to shift schedules, including occasional overtime as needed.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in challenging environments near moving machinery.
