Description

Role

  • Provide support on the manufacturing floor on the assigned areas by performing and improving the productivity of the process.
  • Candidate will adapts machine and equipment designs to factory and production standards.
  • Conducts detailed design work focused on the layout of assembly and materials handling operations.
  • Plans the sequence of operations and develops specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Improves production methods, determines manufacturing capacity, and sets up production schedules.
  • May assist in developing time and cost estimates.
  • Designs and plans layout for assembly and materials handling.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Plans sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
  • Provides guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Basic Qualifications  
  • Typically requires a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Experience evaluating and analyzing Refrigeration system.
  • Knowledge in gage Dimension and tolerances (GD&T)
  • Practical Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving Techniques.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
  • Mechanical Or Electrical Engineer Degree, preferred.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing
  • Experience in tooling and Manufacturing AID design.
  • Proficient in CAD software such as NX or Solid Works.
