Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Waterloo, IA 
Assignment Length: 24 Months (As a W2 employee of KellyOCG)
Pay Rate: $37.00 per hour
Shift Information: 1st shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Possible overtime to support the production line.

Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the future, for this position. Cross border work is not permitted for this role.

Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll work primarily on the shop floor, overseeing process improvements and supporting the continuous operation of the production line. This role entails hands-on engagement, close interaction with production employees, and comprehensive troubleshooting to maintain safe and efficient factory operations.

 

Work Details:

  • Onsite only – no remote work
  • Business casual dress code
  • Metatarsal safety boots required from Day 1
  • ~75% of your time spent on your feet within the factory
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Shop floor position – candidates must be comfortable in a factory environment

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, and/or Data Analytics
  • Open to recent grads with manufacturing internships
  • Candidates without a degree considered if they have 2+ years of applicable work experience
  • Problem-solving/decision-making skills
  • Great communication abilities
  • Willingness to learn and proactively engage in factory activities

Other Notes:

  • Fully onsite position; candidate must be comfortable with factory environment and occasional travel between facilities (up to 20 miles) using a personal vehicle
  • May be required to drive a Gator inside the factory to move between office areas (indoors only) after completing safety training
  • Potential to drive a Tractor inside the factory (optional and requires specific training); ability to opt out if not supported
