Job Title: Material Handler – 1st Shift
Location: Port Wentworth, GA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
About the Role:
We are seeking attentive and reliable Material Handlers to join our warehouse team. This role goes beyond simply moving boxes—you will play a crucial part in our inventory flow by using scanning equipment to track products and by carefully verifying all materials for accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use hand trucks, manual equipment, and scanners to move, track, and verify materials within the facility and onto trucks.
- Load finished products onto pallets, stack them in designated areas, and ensure correct placement.
- Scan and check all inbound and outbound materials to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Pay careful attention to detail to spot and resolve discrepancies, ensuring orders and shipments are correct.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; duties may include sweeping, removing trash, and other cleaning tasks.
- Follow all safety and organizational protocols to help keep the warehouse safe and efficient.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by supervisors to support daily operations.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy essential.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours), and comfortably lift/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with frequent bending, stretching, and reaching in a large, busy warehouse environment.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Able to adapt to changing work conditions (lighting, noise, temperature).
- Dependable, safety-minded, and proactive in identifying issues.
