Kelly Services is searching for a  Material Handler/Battery Tester in the Feasterville-Trevose , PA area! Job Type: Full-time
Shift: 1st shift (Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 530. Friday, they have starts at 7:30a-11:30a or 8a-12p. We work four nines and a four)
  Position Overview: As a Battery Tester and Packer, you are responsible for the testing, packing, and shipping of company products. We are searching for a motivated, experienced, and capable candidate. Working inside the warehouse for extended periods and operating the appropriate machinery will be required.

  • Battery Handling: Safely slide packed batteries from storage to the testing area.
  • Testing Batteries: Use testing equipment to evaluate the performance and condition of each battery.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all test results and relevant information.
  • Repackaging: Place tested batteries back into their original packaging and reseal them with tape.
  • Sorting: Organize batteries into 'good' or 'bad' pallets based on test results.
  • General Maintenance/Housekeeping: Perform tasks required for the day-to-day operation of a production facility.
  • Handling Equipment: Use pallet jacks and powered lift trucks for loading/unloading trucks and shipping containers, and for the proper storage/retrieval of components required to support production.
  • Computer Use: Process labels using computer equipment.
Talents and Qualifications (Required):
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulously follow instructions and document information accurately.
  • Organizational Skills: Efficient in handling, testing, and sorting batteries.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of testing equipment and computer processing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment.
Physical Demands:
  • Able to bend, squat, twist, climb stairs, and lift.
  • Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, talk, and listen with occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers.
  • Ability to stand for up to 9 hours a day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry items up to 40 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
