Kelly is now a Material Handler for a customer in Chantilly Va,
You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, verifying deliveries, and maintaining inventory accuracy. If are interested, please email your resume to marb621@kellyservices.com
- Pay Rate: $24-$26 (depending on experience)
- Shift: Monday- Friday 6am-3pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment in warehouses and storage facilities.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items and recording shortages.
- Receive and verify materials against packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Count or weigh parts to check quantity accuracy and contact vendors for discrepancies.
- Route items following receiving procedures and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Determine shipping methods and fill out necessary paperwork.
- Perform inventory transactions to update stock levels.
- Compare identifying information and verify shipments against records.
- Assemble and prepare containers for shipping, ensuring proper labeling and weight documentation.
- Issue materials to production and departments as per Kanban rules.
- Monitor stockroom inventory and report discrepancies to supervisors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
