Material Handler – Apparel Distribution (Charleston, SC)
Kelly is hiring for a leading manufacturer of apparel on Clements Ferry Road near Wando.
Are you looking for a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment? Kelly is seeking dedicated Material Handlers to join a large distribution center team in Charleston, SC.
Position Details:
- Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:00am–2:00pm OR 6:30am–2:30pm (Monday–Friday) | $17.00/hr
- 2nd Shift: 2:30pm–10:30pm (Monday–Friday) | $18.00/hr
- 3rd Shift: 10:30pm–6:30am (Sunday–Thursday) | $17.75/hr
General Responsibilities:
- Pick/pack, shipping, receiving, scanning, folding, tagging, applying hangers
- Consistently lift cases up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift cases over 50 lbs.
- Move between departments as needed
- Stand for entire shift and work efficiently for long periods
Department Assignments May Include:
- VAS & Rework: folding, tagging, attaching size strips, bagging, hangers, repackaging, scanning
- Pick Pass: scanning, labeling, restocking, box building
- Shipping: labeling, scanning, pallet building, unloading, frequent heavy lifting
- Receiving: scanning, repackaging, using non-powered equipment (pallet jacks/hand trucks)
- Storage: scanning, repackaging, placing cases on conveyors, frequent heavy lifting
Requirements:
- Ability to stand your entire shift
- Comfortable repetitively moving boxes weighing up to and occasionally over 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to move between different areas/departments as needed
- Reliable commute to Clements Ferry Road
Note: Some departments require standing and folding shirts for extended periods.
