 Mechanic – In Partnership with Kelly

About This Opportunity: Are you passionate about quality, teamwork, and hands-on work? Join our team in partnership with Kelly, where your skills can make a real impact! As a Mechanic, you'll play a key role in delivering high standards of automotive excellence, working alongside talented team members across multiple departments.

Shift: M-F 6 am-2:30 pm with flexibility for afternoons if needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, disassemble, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production and prototype powertrains (transmissions, axles, electrified powertrains, and batteries) and vehicles, following build books, sketches, prints, check sheets, and repair manuals.
  • Perform garage and bench work, including transmission/axle removal and reinstallation, as well as powertrain teardown/rebuild.
  • Deliver full garage services and prototype transmission/axle build-up/teardown.
  • Use basic computer skills for email and data entry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of automotive industry experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certified mechanic in the state of Michigan
  • 5+ years' knowledge of electrical, air conditioning, fuel emissions, brakes, steering, hydraulics, and clutches
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to utilize or learn Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Professional, effective communication skills
  • 5+ years' experience with computers for data entry/vehicle diagnostics
  • Self-starter; motivated to complete projects
