Job Description:
The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This role requires attention to detail and involves preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts to create our products. The Mechanical Assembler must possess mechanical and technical skills. We are seeking a knowledgeable, team-oriented worker with dexterity to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret instructions such as work orders, diagrams, wire lists, and verbal directions to determine materials needed for sequencing assembly
- Fabricate and install flex bars as required
- Install larger power wires, including retrieving, crimp lugging, and heat sleeve shrinking
- Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies to comply with company quality standards
- Communicate and document as required in the position
- Become familiar with interpreting 3-D solid model viewers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or transferrable mechanical experience
- Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions
- Proficiency in using hand tools and wire crimpers
- Ability to handle intricate parts
- Reliable attendance

- Excellent documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to navigate an array of computer programs
- Must be able to lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended time periods, up to the entire eight-hour shift
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working
- Must be able to reach above and forward at least 18 inches
- Must possess hand dexterity and install small hardware
- Must have good vision to inspect parts and assemblies
- Must have own steel-toed boots/shoes and will receive $100/12 months reimbursement for them. Required safety glasses will be provided.
