Position Details
Job Type: Contract (~12 months, potential to be extended)
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM | On-site
Target Pay Rate: $20-25/hour
Position Overview
As a Medical Device Packager, you will perform and oversee final packaging processes in a regulated environment, including filling, pouching, and other packaging activities. You will ensure compliance with GMP standards, SOPs, and safety protocols while supporting multiple product packaging needs. This is a hands-on role that involves machinery operation, process monitoring, and teamwork to maintain high-quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and/or lead filling, pouching, and packaging activities; assist with additional product packaging as needed.
- Maintain and update training for all manufacturing tasks and ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Follow all safety protocols per OSHA and corporate guidelines.
- Perform tasks according to regulatory and industry standards in a highly regulated environment (FDA, ISO, MDSAP).
- Meet performance expectations, including accuracy, error rate, punctuality, communication, and teamwork.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely; collaborate with Engineering to report and troubleshoot issues.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Qualifications, Skills & Physical Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional science education or related experience preferred.
- Experience in GMP environments and laboratory or manufacturing settings preferred.
- Experience with chemical reactions, batching, and filling powders into delivery systems is a plus.
- Surgical tech or regulated environment experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, push, pull, twist, stoop/crouch, reach, and communicate effectively as part of daily responsibilities.
