Kelly Services is seeking a Medical office assistant for a local medical office located in Tampa, FL 33620

Job Type: Temporary assignment for 3-6 months. can be extended. -must be flexible
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm- based on business needs- must be flexible

Payrate: $18.00 hourly.
Start date- Feb 9th 2026
No End date at this time. 

Job Summary: 
The Medical Office Assistant ensures access to medical services at all 4 locations for student populations via the phone, online or in-person. They are part of the Patient Services Team and are assigned as needed to work the Call Center or Front Desk on multiple floors/locations. Therefore, this position serves as a vital link in the communication chain between the patient and caregiver and access to the services provided.

Currently reviewing resumes of candidates with the following experience only:

  1. Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Minimum 2 years of high volume medical office/front desk preferred, or 3 years of call center experience. 
  3. Minimum 2 years experience working with Microsoft Office.
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for patient registration, scheduling, check-in/out, and posting self-pay medical charges and payments.
  • Ensuring that confidential patient information (demographics and insurance data) is accurately entered or updated into medical operating system.
  • Processing phone, walk-in, and online appointment requests, tasking and instant messaging, verifying student eligibility.
  • Scanning insurance ID cards.
  • Adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Attends team meetings as assigned.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative duties supporting the clinic and Patient Services Team operations.
