Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Medical ReimbursementSpecialist! Our client has a need for their office in Bolingbrook and in Joliet. Candidates must have experience with medical billing.

This is a contract opportunity, lasting 3-6 months.

Pay: $23/hr.
Hours and location:
Joliet: Mon-Fri 8:30am – 4:30pm
Bolingbrook: Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of diagnostic and procedural coding and payor
requirements in specialized areas of medical, dental and /or vital records, behavioral
health, family health and environmental services
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of computerized billing system and
identifies and corrects complex billing, invoices, or fee for service errors
  • Monitors daily journals, logs and reports number and types of errors
  • Receives cash, checks or other methods of payment and prepares daily deposits
  • Prepares regular reports on deposits and unentered payments to assure quality of system
procedures. Ensures accuracy of computer-generated reports
  • Determines account balances against payor source and against applicable program
components
  • Reviews validity of Public Aid Status and other insurances including Medicare and
private insurance
  • Responsible for collection calls, gathering information for billing collection and
vendors
  • Prepares correspondence for clients, payors, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years' experience in medical billing (medical division) or program coding/billing (non-medical divisions)
