 Forklift Operator (Sit-Down Propane)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (30-minute lunch)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Long-Term Project (via Kelly Services)


Job Summary

Exotech is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support a long-term project in Gresham, OR. This role will operate a sit-down propane forklift (5,000 lb capacity with 6-ft forks) to assist with material handling during system installation activities. The ideal candidate has strong forklift experience, follows safety protocols, and works well in an active warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a sit-down propane forklift to move, load, and stage materials

Support Exotech installation crews by positioning materials as needed

Follow all site-specific safety procedures and OSHA standards

Perform daily forklift safety inspections and report issues immediately

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Communicate effectively with supervisors and on-site personnel

Wear required PPE at all times while on site

Required Qualifications

Prior experience operating a sit-down forklift (propane preferred)

Experience with 5,000 lb forklifts and 6-ft forks

Forklift certification preferred

Must supply own hard hat, safety vest, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses

Strong commitment to workplace safety

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Warehouse / distribution center environment

Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required

Exposure to typical warehouse conditions (noise, temperature variations)
