Shift: Day Shift | 20 hours per week | Can work between 6:00AM to 7:00PM | Flexible | Remote
Pay Rate: $40.00/hour
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Outreach Specialist will identify and connect with diverse stakeholders including government agencies, nonprofits, landlords, employers, veterans, and community partners. Responsibilities include facilitating virtual and in-person meetings, collecting and analyzing feedback on best practices and gaps in services, and developing a resource inventory for veteran housing and support programs. The specialist will collaborate with the program coordinator and data analyst to build a unified, data-driven plan aligning federal, state, and local strategies.
Responsibilities:

Conduct targeted outreach to community stakeholders and veteran service organizations.

Facilitate group and individual meetings (virtual and in-person) to gather insights and feedback.

Compile and maintain an inventory of local veteran and homelessness-related resources.

Collaborate with the project team to develop strategic recommendations and reports.

Represent the program at regional and community events as needed.
Must-haves:
-
1+ year of experience in community outreach or a related role.

Strong communication and facilitation skills.

Proficiency with social media, virtual meeting tools, and online engagement.

Familiarity with HUD-VASH, SSVF, GPD, and other federal housing programs.

Knowledge of veteran and homeless service systems in assigned region.

Ability to travel within assigned CoC region and work both independently and collaboratively.
Skills Desired/Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Communication, or related field.

Experience with SWOT analysis and program evaluation.

Military service or experience working with veteran populations.

Lived experience of homelessness or housing instability.
