Packaging & Labeling Technician

Location: Rockford, IL 61101 Pay Rate: $19.50/hr Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8am - 4pm Assignment Duration: 12 months (temp-to-hire potential)

What's a typical day as a Packaging & Labeling Technician? You'll be:
  • Following safe lab practices and good documentation standards to maintain detailed records in support of ISO requirements.
  • Producing and maintaining the highest quality standards in antibody processing.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Lean, and Practical Process Improvement.
  • Ensuring on-time delivery of production work and projects.
  • Receiving goods into the inventory management system and maintaining product traceability and documentation.
  • Printing, verifying, relabeling, and packaging antibody product labels as needed.
  • Using inventory management systems for transactions and stocking, ensuring accurate inventory records.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED (required).
  • Possess basic scientific calculation skills, strong attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Are proficient with PC applications and comfortable using inventory management and label software.
  • Have basic mechanical aptitude and good communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Can work both independently and as a team player.
  • Meet the physical requirements: ability to wear PPE, sit/stand/walk regularly, lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Have 1-2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Are detail-oriented, a team player, and possess strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Are familiar with MS Excel and other relevant software.
