Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper
Location: South Burlington, VT
Schedule: Part-Time | Flexible Hours
Pay: $20-$25 an hour 

About the Role:

A detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper is needed to support day-to-day financial operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate student financial records, with a focus on accounts receivable and payable. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks Online and the ability to manage tasks independently in a small, fast-paced educational setting.

Top 3 Skills / Daily Responsibilities:
  • QuickBooks Online proficiency: Manage daily entries, invoicing, and reconciliations.

  • Accounts Receivable/Payable Management: Maintain accurate student billing records, process payments, and track outstanding balances.

  • Organization & Attention to Detail: Ensure timely bank deposits, reconciliations, and compliance with internal accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update student financial records (AR/AP)

  • Process tuition invoicing and billing through electronic systems

  • Perform regular bank deposits and account reconciliations

  • Track and report on outstanding balances and payments

  • Collaborate with school administration for accurate financial reporting

  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in education or a small business environment

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online

  • Strong understanding of billing, invoicing, and financial reconciliations

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities
