Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $19.50/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday (7am-3:00pm)

What's a typical day as Press Assistant? You'll be:
  • Hanging rolls of material and performing changeovers efficiently to keep production running smoothly.
  • Maintaining ink and adhesive levels, adjusting viscosities, and preparing ink supplies and solvents as needed.
  • Communicating with material handlers and the ink department to ensure timely supply of production materials.
  • Assembling and replacing doctor blades, performing routine preventive maintenance (PM), and troubleshooting machine issues.
  • Keeping production and MRP reports up to date and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace by removing trash and following plant safety policies.
  • Assisting with the preparation for upcoming jobs and training new hires or incumbent employees when required.
  • Reporting safety-related problems and any accidents to the operator immediately.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience operating a printing press
  • Experienced operating a stopwatch, electric lifts, and use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and doctor blade tools.
  • Comfortable with frequently walking, bending, stooping, and climbing as part of your daily routine and lift items weighing over 50 lbs.
  • Possess good basic computer skills and can maintain accurate records.
  • Demonstrate good color perception, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
