Brake Press Operator – Manufacturing Division
Temp to Hire
Pay Range: $18–$22/hr
What You'll Do:
Operate Press Machinery: Run electrically powered industrial machines to create, shape, and customize metal materials.
- Quality Assurance: Perform inspections on finished pieces to ensure quality and conformity, correcting inconsistencies as needed.
- Reporting & Communication: Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to your supervisor.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by following prescribed safety regulations.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on machines to keep our production running smoothly.
What We're Looking For:
- Motor Skills: Exemplary motor skills are essential—quickly and efficiently adjust multiple levers and settings on brake press machines.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates, and blueprints accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to read gauges, tape measures, and other measurement tools.
- Experience: Prior manufacturing experience in a press environment is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Be prepared to work in a dynamic setting with exposure to odors, noise, dust, heat, cold, and moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level can get loud—but with the vibrant energy of a real production floor!
Physical Demands:
- Enjoy an active role that requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
- Regularly lift and move items over 25 pounds.
- Use specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
