Process Engineer – Injection Molding
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Pay Range: $85K to $125K

Role Overview:The Process Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to produce high-quality injection-molded products. You will work closely with molding personnel to improve processes, resolve issues, and ensure production efficiency through scientific molding principles.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, document, and optimize new and existing injection molding processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mold and process-related issues, using scientific molding principles.
- Collaborate on tooling and process validations, including root cause analysis.
- Monitor, validate, and periodically review process parameters for all jobs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in molding, assembly, and tooling.
- Create and complete documentation for procedures, validation protocols, and engineering reports.
- Mentor and coach technicians and operators on best practices in molding processes.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and GMP standards.
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in plastic injection molding, including mold and process validation.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable with a 70% floor, 30% desk split; motivated to work daily in a hands-on capacity.
- Proficient in writing and finalizing procedures, validation protocols, validation reports, and engineering reports.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled at identifying production issues and applying scientific principles to implement long-term solutions.
- Competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $125,000 annually.
