Procurement Specialist
Butler, PA
Temporary
$21-24.50/hr

*Hybrid position: 2-3 days onsite per week, rest remote



Kelly is seeking a Procurement Specialist to work with our client, a large and global industrial gas company, on a temporary basis (6+ months) to help out with an increased workload! This is an excellent opportunity to step foot into an organization that has experienced over 120 years of success.

The Procurement Specialist will handle the following Accounts Payable responsibilities:

  • Resolve delivery, quality, or other related issues with purchase orders and invoices
  • Change product pricing to match supplier price changes
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track invoice resolutions including action owners
  • Document all inquiries and resolutions for future reference
  • Create Progress Status reports
Additionally, this role will handle the following Procurement responsibilities:
  • Review and understand requisition requirements, working efficiently with requester/client to ensure the issuance of accurate purchase orders to suppliers
  • Process purchase orders as per documented procedures, within the established turn-around time
  • Monitor the follow-up and expediting of supplier deliveries
  • Trigger an effective execution of the sourcing process as required
  • Ensure audit readiness of all purchasing documents at all times
  • Process requests for new supplier set-up as needed
  • Analyze internal demand requirements and external market condition to identify areas of opportunity and improvement
  • Lead the expediting of urgent/emergency orders
  • Conduct problem determination for Internal Business Partner and/or Supplier questions to determine appropriate answer, status or appropriate escalation path.
  • Consistently provide excellent customer service
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with one year of relevant work experience
  • Customer focus, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work across all functions and levels of an organization
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change effectively
  • Strong understanding and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
  • Committed to ongoing improvement
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to prioritize workload with minimum supervision
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
