Job Title: Production Coordinator

Job Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Coordinator responsible for identifying and prioritizing production requirements and coordinating the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies to meet production schedules. The Production Coordinator will assist the Supervisor in achieving daily production schedules and quality goals, providing guidance and acting as a source of information for operators and support groups. This role also involves coordinating documentation and training for operators while adhering to environmental policies and supporting departmental environmental objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Confer with department supervisors and review master production schedules, work orders, and departmental production schedules to determine material requirements.
  • Perform material availability analysis to assess material and supply needs.
  • Coordinate plant inventory levels, including ordering correct quantities, determining appropriate lead times, tracking available storage space, and identifying reasons for inventory adjustments.
  • Perform physical inventory counts regularly.
  • Monitor assembly line schedules and timely release jobs to the floor to maintain efficient production.
  • Indicate the number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
  • Review progress reports regarding status and downtime due to machine and equipment failures, and inform production planning personnel of any production delays.
  • Compile and prioritize work orders for comparison to available finished units and fulfillment.
  • Update work order statuses and identify shortages to management.
  • Establish effective communication with various groups, including customers, sales offices, corporate, and plant production departments to ensure on-time delivery of products and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports.
  • Facilitate communication with associates and foster a Credo-based environment.
  • Ensure that correct policies and guidelines are followed to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.).

Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Basic knowledge of computerized systems and mathematics.
  • Good communication skills and strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Basic knowledge of the SAP system is desired.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations is required.
  • Must be computer literate in email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to develop and meet deadlines, delegate tasks, and follow up effectively.
  • Four (4) to five (5) years of experience as a Production Coordinator, Production Operator, or in a similar position.
