Production Manager (Memphis, Tennessee)
Our client, a leading global provider of manufacturing and supply chain solutions is currently hiring a Production Manager, client is proud to be a trusted partner for the world's top brands, offering comprehensive engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions.
Production Managers on this team are responsible for overseeing all aspects of production at their assigned facility or shift, they ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets quality standards. Production Managers also play a key role in maintaining safety protocols, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with other departments to resolve any issues that may arise during production.
Daily responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of production lines, ensuring they run on schedule and within budget. Monitor product quality and adherence to specifications.
Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to address equipment issues promptly.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of production output, waste materials, and downtime. Collaborate with supply chain management to optimize material flow and minimize disruptions.
Supervise and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and open communication.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to production management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in an industrial management role in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
Proven track record of successful people management.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly. Effective communicator who can convey information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledgeable in ISO requirements and other relevant regulatory standards.
Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
