General Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. This position is responsible for keeping the production lines supplied with packaging materials such as bottles, tubes, caps, and shippers. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain a flexible work schedule to meet company demands.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Functions:

  • Supply production lines with the correct packaging materials by pulling items from the staging area using a pallet jack.
  • Visually examine packaging materials to verify artwork, comparing them to the artwork verification form, and document findings.
  • Ensure each pallet is properly stretch-wrapped; re-stretch wrap any improper pallets.
  • Create and print labels using the ERP system, ensuring accuracy.
  • Verify and apply the correct labels to each finished goods pallet by hand.
  • Remove finished goods from packaging lines using a pallet jack or forklift as needed and place them in the inventory staging area.
  • Count and label unused packaging materials for restock purposes, documenting counts in the material handler log.
  • Return unused packaging materials to the restock area using a pallet jack at the end of each batch.
  • Use company-approved personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for various tasks.
  • Comply with company SOPs and policies.
  • Relieve production workers when needed or as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assist Lead Production Workers in gathering finished product samples.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
