Ink Production Technician

Schedule: Monday – Friday - 1st Shift 8am - 5pm
Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Hitachi Industrial Equipment & Solutions America (HIESA) is seeking a detail-oriented Ink Production Technician to join its growing inkjet manufacturing facility in Charlotte. This position supports the Industrial Components & Equipment Division (ICED) and reports directly to the Ink Manufacturing Supervisor.
The Ink Production Technician is responsible for blending, filling, and packaging solvent-based inks and fluids used in Hitachi's Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) printer products. Because of the precision required in ink formulation, this role requires strong attention to detail, math skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities• Produce and package ink batches ranging from 25–120 gallons
• Perform repetitive blending operations for CIJ inks
• Support lab scale-up and full-scale ink production, including packaging
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow OSHA, HazMat, and SDS safety guidelines
• Perform basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure safe operation
• Maintain organization of the warehouse, ink room, and supply room
• Accurately follow documented procedures and production requirements
• High School Diploma or minimum of 2 years manufacturing/industrial experience
• Strong math and mechanical aptitude
• Experience in a lab or manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
• Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
• Forklift experience preferred (not required)
• Manufacturing / ink production facility
• Exposure to solvents and industrial materials (training provided)
• PPE required
