Kelly Services is hiring for a Production Planner/Scheduler in Terrell, TX.
Pay: $65,000+/year (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Frida 8a-5p
Responsibilities
- The planning and scheduling of production jobs for customer orders, internal orders, rework orders and facilities and equipment maintenance orders driven by the company ERP.
- Collaborating with department managers and other personnel to ensure OTD to customers while also minimizing overtime.
- Collaborating with customer service to ensure speedy responses to customer request such as order status updates, expedites, deferrals and cancelations.
- Work with department managers to define possible requirements for additional personnel and equipment resources.
- Being actively involved in the driving of and/or participation in continual improvement initiatives to help enhance company processes, product flow, quality and organization.
- The participation in performing company audits.
- The preparation and submission of status and performance reports as requested.
Requirements
- 3–5-year experience in scheduling at a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, write and understand directions in English.
- Ability to read blue prints.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills in ERP system, MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must have a sense of urgency and take ownership of actions.
- Advanced understanding of planning and scheduling concepts.
- Ability to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts and to draw conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or planning/schedule form, including complex/technical information.
- Must possess strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information to customers, sales reps, and employees within the company and respond to inquiries or complaints.
- Positive attitude, self-driven, detailed oriented who is hungry to learn and further develop their skills.
- Ability to identify problems, to present solutions, and to meet deadlines maintaining a high level of accuracy.
