What's a typical day as a Production Supervisor? You'll be:
• Achieving departmental goals and objectives.
• Supervising semi to highly skilled production and/or maintenance employees on 3rd shift.
• Ensuring the manufacture of products within delivery, quality, safety, and cost standards.
• Acting as the first-line liaison between production employees and management staff..
• Providing appropriate training, work instruction, and tools to assigned personnel.
• Monitoring control plans, troubleshooting and supervising production activities.
• Administering employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules.
• Monitoring individual and line performance and taking corrective action, including discipline, if needed.
• Planning for equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and utilization.
• Directing departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.
• Implementing and monitoring safety programs and housekeeping.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have 5+ years of professional experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Are an excellent communicator with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Have experience in a union environment.
• Are familiar with systems such as SAP.
• Have proficiency in desktop applications, including MS Word, Office, and Excel.
