We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to be responsible for overseeing one of our production lines - safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity. This role assists planning in development of the production plan and ensures all direct manufacturing personnel are trained and equipped to be successful.
In this Role, you will be responsible for:
- Meeting all defined standards and productivity goals
- Releasing and prioritizing work orders to achieve production schedules, assigning work and estimating worker hour requirements for successful completion of job assignments while meeting delivery, quality, and cost metrics
- Correctly interpreting specifications, blueprints and job orders to works and effectively assigning duties
- Meeting production schedules, efficiencies and utilization targets
- Recommending and initiating measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product within company guidelines
- Proactively working to improve working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, departments or work crew
- Analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving work problems
- Correctly and efficiently estimating, requisitioning and inspecting material as required
- Conferring with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments; successfully collaborating cross-functionally to deliver business results
- Development of a superior workforce: Working with HR to recruit, interview, select, hire; Coaching, mentoring, and developing staff; Effectively cross-training to reduce business vulnerability; Providing effective performance feedback through recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action when necessary.
- Ongoing self-development and personal growth as an employee
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Management or Operations Management is required.
- 2+ years' supervisory experience and demonstrated experience assessing, motivating, and developing a highly efficient team
- 2+ years' experience in manufacturing preferred, particularly in an electronics environment
- Knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management
- Better than average written and spoken communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Strong focus and attention to detail
- Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex business environment
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong focus on customer service
- Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills
