Position: Production Training Facilitator

Pay Range: $22 - $28 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Must be flexible to work 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Extensive production experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) is required.

Job Summary:
The Training Facilitator is responsible for developing and enhancing our training programs for both new hires and existing employees. This role involves collaborating with the HR and Operations departments to improve training across all manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. The Training Facilitator will be a champion of continuous improvement throughout the facility, implementing, auditing, and facilitating a robust training program that drives optimal performance across all metrics. Successful candidates will exemplify discipline in adherence to attendance, safety, and all policies, while addressing deficiencies fairly and consistently. A strong commitment to leadership, open communication, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement is essential.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct onboarding meetings for new employees and support the onboarding process.
  • Obtain, organize, and develop training materials such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and One Point Lessons (OPLs).
  • Evaluate training procedures and content for quality and continuous improvement.
  • Assess operator knowledge and capability in safety, quality, job content, and productivity.
  • Collect and interpret data to communicate the progress of trainees and apprentices.
  • Actively observe, train, and sign off on entry and next-level “Apprentice Program” progression steps.
  • Maintain training and onboarding paperwork, including a training matrix for the plant.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team to establish standard work and integrate supporting materials into training programs.
  • Communicate across the organization to benchmark best practices and troubleshoot training issues.
  • Oversee all new hire training and ensure associates are adequately trained before being released to their shifts.
  • Update and maintain the operator training matrix with sign-offs.
  • Work with shift Leads to verify each associate's certification level.
  • Create One Point Lessons (OPL) for training in collaboration with Supervisors and Leads.
  • Shoot and edit training videos.
  • Champion turnover project teams and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, monitoring their progress weekly/daily.
  • Collaborate with Department Leaders to ensure employees' pay reflects their training level.
  • Work across all shifts to ensure training and sustainment processes are effectively executed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Previous experience in organizing and implementing training programs or documents is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proven experience with effective teams and continuous improvement methods is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Good math skills and proficiency in reading tape measures, micrometers, and test equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to audit paperwork and information systems with high accuracy.
  • Exceptional knowledge of products, processes, and previous printing, converting, or slitting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lead by example and handle confidential information with sensitivity.
