Work Schedule:
l Job Duration- 6 months  
l Shift: 1st Shift (Monday to Friday)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
l The Program Manager is responsible for managing large project(s), a platform of products and/or multiple smaller projects which includes tasks such as managing project core team(s) from Phase 0 approval to product market introduction.
l Additionally, the Program Manager develops project resource, capital and expense estimates, maintains timeline and deliverables of the project core team, manages resource needs and cross functional team(s).
l This position is responsible to the senior management team for all aspects of the project.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
l Lead cross functional project teams.
l Hold regular meetings and hold team members accountable to project goals.
l Work with staff to draw realistic but challenging timelines/priorities.
l Provide follow-up/support on their timely execution.
l Responsible for coordinating team activities in accordance with GPC006 Design Control, GPC041, New Product Development Guidelines and GPC098 Risk Management.
l Responsible for the timeline and design history file for the project.
l Work with functional areas to estimate expenses and track budget.
l Supervise and support development of Design and Development Plan, Risk Management Plan and Report, FMEA, Master Validation Plan and other required documentation.
l Train other employees in new assays and systems.
l Support department and corporate objectives.
l Ensure appropriate representation on the project teams as needed.
l Attract, retain and motivate a high caliber team.
l Ensure communication of pertinent information to all required levels and presents on overall project status.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
l No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 60% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 40% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work.  
l Occasional travel required.  
l Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

Education/Experience:
l BA / BS degree or equivalent in business administration, science or engineering required.
l Minimum of 2 years' direct program management experience required.
l Minimum 5 years' experience in a clinical, diagnostic or equivalent product development environment required.
l PMP Certification preferred.
l Demonstrated experience in managing projects required.

Knowledge/Skills:
l Excellent project management skills required.
l Excellent prioritization, organization and the ability to multitask required.
l Experience in QSR (Quality System Regulations) required.
l Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required.
l Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships between groups required.
l Knowledge of the budgeting process, planning, and building realistic timelines required.
l Strong knowledge of product development and manufacturing design transfer required.
l Experience managing projects required
l Leads projects requiring in-depth knowledge of immunoassay, molecular and/or instrument program management and development.
l This individual will be responsible for leading a project team comprised of members from multiple departments.
l Demonstrates the ability to lead the project team from inception to product launch using the GPC041 process.
l Exercises discretion within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
l Strong understanding of Company's manufacturing and manufacturing design transfer.
