We're searching for a QA Lab Technician to join the team of one of our top medical device and pharmaceutical industry clients in San Lorenzo, PR. Why This Role Could be Perfect for You: As a QA Lab Technician, you'll work under the Quality Team Leader or a senior technician, maintaining high product quality standards and ensuring operations comply with regulatory requirements. You'll perform routine physical inspections of finished goods using skilled specifications, established quality standards, and audits.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting visual and dimensional inspections per QSRs and written procedures; reporting any non-conformance issues
- Inspecting, testing, and evaluating products, production and testing equipment for precision and accuracy
- Performing and documenting all finished goods inspections and testing, utilizing specialized software
- Gathering Finished Goods and Retain samples for testing at sterilization sites, as needed
- Analyzing inspection data, recommending material disposition, and segregating samples per requirements
- Reviewing batch records and sterilization information for product release
- Utilizing Statistical Process Control for product and process decisions
- Staying updated on specifications, procedures, and regulations in your area of responsibility
- Maintaining precise, accurate documentation for activities
- Supporting defect awareness and specification requirements for associates
- Assisting Engineering and QA Departments in validation initiatives
- Training new QA Technicians in quality assurance duties
- Participating in facility safety initiatives and supporting compliance with ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001 policies
- Associate Degree from an accredited institution (technical or science field preferred) with 1-3 years' experience in quality assurance OR
- At least 8 years of proven quality assurance experience
- Flexibility to work any shift, including holidays, weekends and overtime
- Effective bilingual (Spanish & English) communication skills
- Strong computer skills and mastery of relevant applications
- Knowledge of QSRs and ISO Standards
