Pay rate and Shift
l Job Duration: 6+ Month
l Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm
l Pay Rate: $18.50/hrs. On W2.
Job Summary:
l The Quality Control Associate role is responsible for conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout all areas of the distribution center (DC).
l The audits will be focused on supplier compliance and adherence to industry standards for EDI, packing slip accuracy, labeling, and general packing and inbound shipping quality.
l This position requires establishing and maintaining a strategic and collaborative relationship with a remote team in Pittsburgh and supporting the internal distribution team.
l The Quality Control Associate ensures the adherence for suppliers to meet our Operational Requirements and the penetration of electronic transaction utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
l Detailed documentation of inbound supplier receiving audits:
l Packing slip accuracy
l Labeling accuracy
l Carton integrity
l General packing and shipping
l Inspection/audit of damaged freight
l Documentation and communication of non-compliance with both the Supplier Relations and DC Teams
l Support department standup meetings
l Involvement in continuous improvement in developing compliance systems and process
l Demonstrate strong safety awareness and flow all the guidelines within the DC
l Participate in DC and Supplier Relations activities and events
Metrics
l Supplier compliance to Operational and EDI requirements – quantity and quality metrics
l ASN Accuracy/Penetration
l Receiving Productivity
Non-Negotiable Requirements/Qualifications
l Minimum High School Diploma
l 3 years of Distribution/Operations/Manufacturing experience
l Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
l Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
l Excellent verbal and written communication skills
l Strong cross functional relationship building
l Independent self-motivated worker
