QMS - Quality Engineer ( NO C2C or Third Party)
- Location: Portage, MI (49002)
- Duration: Until 7/2026 (contract extension potential)
- Type: W2 contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
- Pay: Negotiable depending on DIRECT-RELATED experience
- Work Authorization: Must be currently in the United States with active employment authorization documents without current or future sponsorship.
Job Summary:
This role will provide direct support to the manufacturing lines through development and implementation of methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed.
Role responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and trending production defects and leading projects to resolve top defects.
- Identifying, containing, and correcting nonconformances originating from the manufacturing area.
- Coaching cross functional team on QMS requirements as it relates to manufacturing facility.
- When appropriate, designs and installs testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates.
- Individual will be expected to maintain a productive and collaborative relationship with individuals in all aspects of the business, ranging from operators to commercial marketing and sales.
Required:
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to solve problems in a high stress situation
- Possess attention to detail
- Eagerness to assist internal and external customers
- Manage projects in a timely manner
- Ability to conduct and document technical investigation
- Experience with GD&T and Statistical Analysis Capability, highly desirable
