Quality Assurance Lab Technician
Location: Cornelia, GA (with possible travel to Athens, Flowery Branch, Baldwin, GA)
Position: Scientist I
Pay Rate: $23/hr-$24/hr
Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Quality Assurance Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine testing and ensuring compliance with laboratory procedures to support manufacturing and timely product delivery. You will work with advanced laboratory instruments and collaborate with team members to uphold quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare testing materials and perform routine independent testing using instruments such as Instron, HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, viscosity meters, and more.
- Identify and document any issues observed during testing and analysis.
- Record and maintain accurate test results and initiate investigations for non-conforming materials or test results.
- Perform calibration and verification checks on laboratory instruments.
- Collect, prepare, and evaluate data for further analysis and reporting.
- Archive documentation for completed testing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, supporting environmental and safety initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with team members and adhere to safety protocols and quality system requirements.
- Use software systems (e.g., SAP, LIMS) for data management and reporting.
- Participate in LEAN, Six Sigma, and Maintenance Excellence initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Over 2 years of experience in a GMP laboratory environment, performing advanced technician duties.
- Knowledge and training in GMP and ISO standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including safety glasses, gloves, and shoes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
