Quality Assurance Technician I – Burbank, CA
 

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician I for a contract to hire at a Medical Device company in Burbank, CA, with occasional work in Valencia. If you have experience in quality control, receiving inspection, and documentation control, and are ready for a hands-on role in QA operations, trust The Experts at Hiring Experts to support your next career move.

Location: On-site in Burbank, CA (90%), with occasional work in Valencia, CA (10%)
Pay rate:  $21-$25/hour DOE 
Schedule: 7:30am-4:30pm Monday - Friday 
Duration: Temp-to-Hire 
 
Overview 
The position operates under the guidance of the  Quality Systems Manager, assisting in various quality assurance and documentation control activities. The role involves handling customer returns, conducting inspections, maintaining supplier qualifications, and supporting QA/QC operations. Travel between facilities and supplier audits is required. 
 
Responsibilities
- Communicate with the Quality Systems Manager on receiving activities and customer returns. 
- Handle customer return receipt, perform leak tests, process disposals, and complete related paperwork. 
- Maintain accurate filing, organization, and record-keeping of returns, disposals, and QA documentation. 
- Conduct inspections for capsule engraving accuracy and legibility, both in-house and from external vendors. 
- Perform dimensional quality control checks on components. 
- Qualify and maintain supplier certifications and participate in Material Review Board meetings. 
- Conduct Final QC on all EZIP product lines, except where restricted by the Quality Systems or Radioassay Manager. 
- Process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and maintain related documentation. 
- Travel between Burbank and Valencia facilities for audits and training. 
 
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma (minimum).
 
Experience:
  - 2 years in quality control, receiving inspection, or Quality Assurance. 
  - 1 year of experience with documentation control, including filing, organization, and inventory logs. 
 
Skills: 
  - Strong attention to detail and organization. 
  - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. 
  - Ability to work independently and within a team. 
  - Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments.
