Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: This is a full-time position with a salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 plus a stock bonus. The base salary range represents the anticipated range for this position and varies based on candidate's skills, experience, education, and performance.

What's a typical day as a QC Biochemical Assay Scientist? You'll be:
  • Designing and executing various bioassays supporting assay method development, validation, and transfer from R&D to QC.
  • Devising, troubleshooting, and validating bioassays for in-process control and lot release.
  • Maintaining and reviewing cGXP records, managing quality events, data trending, and overseeing QC bioassay analysis activities.
  • Working under 21 CFR part 210/211 standard pharmaceutical cGXP quality system processes.
  • Focusing on analytical assay platforms like PCR, dPCR, ELISA, MSD, and enzyme activity assays.
  • Troubleshooting assays and assisting lab members in ensuring high-quality experimental execution and data recording.
  • Handling and tracking BSL-2 material.
  • Authoring and reviewing quality documents such as SOP, OOS/OOT, CAPA, and Change Control.
  • Authoring test methods, development reports, study protocols, and reports.
  • Maintaining and operating laboratory equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and trending stability data.
  • Coordinating sample analysis with on-site and third-party labs for stability, routine, qualification, verification, and validation activities.
  • Creating, reviewing, and editing analytical methods and procedures to contribute to continuous improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a PhD in biochemistry, enzymology, or a related field with 3 years of QC/Development experience in a GMP environment; or, a Bachelor's/Master's in related fields with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Possess expertise in developing custom immunoassays, PCR, ddPCR assays, enzyme assays, cell-based assays, etc.
  • Understand PCR, cell-based binding potency, ELISA, and enzyme activity assays.
  • Have experience in bioassay setup, optimization, and deployment.
  • Are knowledgeable in statistical techniques for data analysis and trending.
  • Have an aptitude for pharmaceutical tech transfer and validation for FDA clinical trial phases.
  • Demonstrate strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Are familiar with cGxP, ISO 9001, and ICH requirements for document control.
  • Preferably have experience in electronic biological sample organization and tracking.
  • Demonstrate high integrity and ethics.
