Position: QC Chemist
Pay: $25/hr-$27/hr
Shift: either 5 days/8hrs or 4 days/10hrs (6am-6pm)
Contract Length: 6 months
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QC Chemist I to join our laboratory team. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality standards of our products, conducting routine tests, and ensuring compliance with established procedures. The QC Chemist I will work closely with the Analytical Laboratory QC Manager and other team members to support the lab's operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis of materials and products.
  • Document and maintain accurate testing records and results.
  • Adhere to laboratory protocols, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Support the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of testing methods.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality control and regulatory standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and data.
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and testing processes.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to work in a laboratory setting with proper safety equipment.
  • Lifting and carrying of laboratory materials (up to 30 lbs).
  • May require standing for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional exposure to chemicals and laboratory reagents.
