Quality Control Technician


Location: Palmetto, FL
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Hourly Pay Rate: $35

 

Kelly Science is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team at our bottling manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in quality assurance and manufacturing, especially those with a background or preference in chemistry and microbiology. This is a temp to hire role with long term growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Inspections:

  • Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilize measurement tools and equipment to conduct tests and record results accurately.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality-related data.
  • Assist in compiling reports for management and regulatory compliance.

Process Monitoring:

  • Monitor production processes to identify any deviations from established quality standards.
  • Communicate any quality issues or concerns to the appropriate team members promptly.

Sampling:

  • Collect samples of products at various stages of production for testing and analysis.
  • Assist in conducting microbiological and chemical tests as required.

Formulation Assistance:

  • Support the formulation of products by conducting tests and providing data that informs product development.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians and formulators to improve product quality and performance.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production staff to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss quality findings and suggest improvements.

Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all safety and quality regulations and protocols.
  • Participate in training sessions on quality control practices and procedures.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • BS in Biology or Chemistry highly preferred, with 1 year industry experience ideal
  • AS degree with 3-4 years industry experience

Experience:

  • No prior experience required, though experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency with measurement tools.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
