Quality Shipping Administrator

Location: 295 Indian River Road Orange, CT 06477
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Job Type: Contract (Minimum of 6 weeks; evaluation for permanency)
Shift: 8AM-4PM

Summary:
Saint-Gobain is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Quality Shipping Administrator to ensure that all outgoing shipments meet strict quality standards. This role bridges quality assurance and shipping logistics and is ideal for candidates with a strong background in quality control within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-shipment quality inspections to ensure compliance with product specifications and labeling requirements.

  • Review and validate customer contracts and shipment documentation.

  • Investigate and coordinate resolutions to any quality issues encountered during the shipping process.

  • Maintain and file inspection records, certifications, and non-conformance documentation accurately.

  • Assist customers with shipping status inquiries and resolve concerns related to product quality.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Customer Service, and Production.

  • Use ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to manage shipping and quality data.

  • Support other areas of production and quality control when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

  • 2–4 years of Quality Inspection experience (Strongly Preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail; ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Experience with ERP systems (Preferred)

  • Understanding of quality assurance processes
