Job Description
Position Summary:
Ensures that all client samples are handled, received, processed, and retained in accordance with company policies and ISO 17025 standards. This position reports directly to the Client Services Supervisor/Manager or Laboratory Director and supports efficient sample management, documentation, and communication across departments. Key Responsibilities
- Ensured all client samples were handled, received, and retained in accordance with company policy.
- Reported directly to the Client Service Supervisor/Manager or Laboratory Director.
- Received, recorded, and entered all pertinent information regarding client samples.
- Facilitated the timely release of samples to Operations for analysis.
- Maintained the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 17025 standards.
- Monitored client sample submissions and identified new sample matrices or testing profiles.
- Maintained accurate records of all sample handling and data entry upon receipt.
- Identified and reported any discrepancies in samples or documentation.
- Provided clients with Certificates of Analysis (COAs) or partial COAs as required.
- Received supply shipments and documented any inaccuracies in the Vendor Deviation Log.
- Maintained and tracked sample retains.
- Retrieved, logged, and recorded sample retests as needed.
- Verified the receipt and shipment of all brokered samples and completed required documentation.
- Maintained a fair, positive, and collaborative work environment.
- Followed all health and safety regulations and adhered to all company policies.
- Promoted teamwork, organization, and effective communication to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Performed other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective in problem prevention and resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple disciplines.
- Proficient computer skills; experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) preferred.
- Commitment to quality systems and continuous improvement.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate's Degree (2-year) preferred in Science, Biology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
