Quality Technician II
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Technician II for our client a top medical device manufacturer in O'Fallon, MO. If you're passionate about bringing the latest scientific discoveries to life and are ready to take the next step in your career, trust The Experts at Hiring Experts.
This client is a company that's leading the way in the med device industry. In this role, you will work with the quality group to test raw materials and finished products.

Schedule: On-site Monday through Thursday 6am to 430pm maybe OT on Friday 8 hours
Length of assignment: Until the end of 2026 possible temp to hire
Pay: $27-28 an hour Depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure components, assemblies, and products meet design and regulatory requirements by performing physical, visual, and specialized inspections and tests
  • Document all inspection results according to procedural standards and maintain accurate inspection records, including inventory transactions
  • Develop, validate, and execute receiving inspection and test processes for compliance
  • Identify defects and inconsistencies with precision and initiate non-conformance reporting (CATSWeb)
  • Inspect components using calipers, micrometers, and optical comparator
  • Maintain quality control for incoming materials and site, using high standards in all work performed
  • Collaborate across manufacturing, engineering, supplier quality, procurement, and R&D teams to resolve inspection issues and maintain a positive work environment
  • Meet required inspection cycle times and accurately count inspected products
  • Willing and able to work up to 10 hours/day and overtime, including weekends
  • Perform duties while following all safety requirements
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (training/certification in quality inspection preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing or quality control (medical device experience preferred)
  • Proficient with optical comparators, microscopes, and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, product specifications, and technical drawings
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for small parts inspection
  • Strong understanding of FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, and quality control standards and methodologies
  • Able to use inventory/document control systems and Microsoft Office
  • Basic statistical knowledge and ability to clearly describe quality issues and product evaluations
