Pay rate: $20-26 per hour
As a Laboratory Technician in our client's cutting-edge Research & Development (R&D) Laboratory, you'll play an essential role in the development and analysis of groundbreaking activated carbon solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Advanced Analyses: Execute daily laboratory tests on R&D products and raw materials, ensuring precise and accurate analytical results that drive our innovations.
- Quality Assurance: Proactively monitor test methods to guarantee adherence to quality standards and compliance, driving excellence in our products.
- Instrument Supervision: Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the functionality of laboratory instruments, facilitating seamless operations across the lab.
- Safety Leadership: Uphold and promote rigorous lab safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility.
- Innovative Experimentation: Contribute to the setup and procurement of equipment for novel experiments and tests.
- Process Documentation: Assist in crafting and refining analytical procedures, ensuring the continual enhancement of laboratory workflows.
- Record Keeping: Keep meticulous daily lab notebooks detailing experiments and results, curating a repository of valuable data.
- Housekeeping & Team Support: Maintain an organized laboratory environment and assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Problem Solver: Adept at identifying and resolving issues creatively and effectively, applying both analytical and innovative thinking.
- Judgement & Decision-Making: Exercise sound judgement, supporting decisions with clear reasoning while involving key stakeholders in the process.
- Independent Experimentation: Capable of conducting experiments independently, with attention to detail in data collection and analysis.
- Communication Savvy: Convey experimental results through compelling graphs, tables, and comprehensive reports, while effectively discussing data and recommendations.
- Organizational Excellence: Design and implement workflows and procedures to enhance safety and sample management, striving for quality and productivity.
- Continuous Learner: Eager to build knowledge and skills through ongoing training and collaboration.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong foundation in math and science, with proven experience in laboratory environments and analytical instrumentation.
- Educational Background: Minimum of a High School Diploma with a preference for an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or relevant fields.
- Professional Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience, showcasing strong analytical instrumentation capabilities.
- Resourcefulness and Tenacity: Demonstrated success in completing tasks with creativity and persistence.
- Communication Excellence: Proven abilities in written and verbal communication.
- Safety Commitment: Consistent practice of safe work habits and procedures.
