Job Title: Reach Truck Operator
Rate of pay: $17/hr.
Schedule: 3rd Shift (11-7:30AM) OT and reliable transportation is a MUST!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Reach Truck Operator to join our team at a local distribution facility in Liverpool, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a reach truck to move, stack, and organize products and materials throughout the warehouse. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient and accurate inventory control and supporting daily production and shipping activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to transport, stack, and retrieve pallets, and packaging materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers as needed.
- Ensure all products are handled safely and stored in the correct locations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and scanning.
- Follow all safety protocols, including pre-operational checks on equipment.
- Support housekeeping efforts to keep warehouse areas clean and organized.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, forklift drivers, and supervisors.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of consistent experience operating a reach truck in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) as required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to paper dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Must wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) as required.
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
