Receiving Dock Associate

Pay Rate: $18.70/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Training Schedule (first week): 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Contract Length: 6 months (with possible extension)
 

About the Role

We are seeking detail-oriented and safety-focused Receiving Dock Associates to join our 2nd shift warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading, inspecting, documenting, and staging incoming materials to ensure accurate and efficient receipt of goods. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to operate material-handling equipment in a busy dock environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety guidelines, warehouse protocols, and company procedures.

  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts and other equipment; report any issues or maintenance needs.

  • Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against packing lists, purchase orders, and documentation.

  • Inspect incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, and compliance with quality standards.

  • Record received items in the inventory system and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Tag, label, and stage materials for storage, put-away, or production use.

  • Communicate with purchasing and logistics teams on discrepancies, damaged items, or missing materials.

  • Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

  • Experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or material handling is a plus.

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspecting and documenting materials.

  • Basic computer skills for entering receiving data into inventory systems.

  • Ability to lift and move materials

  • Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned shift.
