Recruiter
Location: Newark Airport, Newark, NJ 07114
Pay Rate: $30 /hr. (Hourly, Non-Exempt)
Standard Hours: 40 hours per week
Assignment Length: 4 months
The main function of a recruiter is to seek out, interview, and screen applicants to fill existing and future job openings and promote career opportunities. This role is responsible for finding new talent and supporting the organization's staffing needs during peak season.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs.
- Conduct candidate searches using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), networking, internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, and employee referrals.
- Interview applicants to gather information on work history, training, education, and job skills.
- Prepare and maintain accurate employment records in accordance with company policy.
- Communicate with applicants regarding employment possibilities, consideration, selection, and next steps.
- Inform candidates about FedEx facilities, operations, benefits, and available job opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field OR equivalent experience/training.
- 0–2 years of recruiting experience.
- Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures involved in personnel recruitment, selection, and training.
- Basic understanding of legal policies and procedures related to hiring.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Workday VNDLY.
