Description

Our client is hiring multiple Machine Operators for our expanding team! We have immediate openings on all shifts. Come work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where your skills will make a difference.

The Recut Saw Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining metal-cutting saws to cut extrusions to specified dimensions. This role ensures precision, safety, and efficiency in the cutting process, supporting production schedules and quality standards.

Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $23 or above based on experience,                                                    Shift differentials (10% for 2nd shift, 15% for 3rd Shift) 

2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm (Monday-Friday) or 3pm-1am (Monday-Thursday)
3rd Shift: 11pm-7am (Monday-Friday)

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate METL saws (semi-automatic or CNC-controlled) to cut metal extrusions to required lengths and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules
  • Measure and mark materials for cutting using precision measuring tools (lineal measuring table, tape measures)
  • Set up saws, adjust blade speeds, and change blades as needed
  • Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and quality; make adjustments as necessary
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards
  • Record production data and report any discrepancies or equipment issues
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience operating industrial saws or similar machinery preferred
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic math and mechanical skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Forklift certification is a plus

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, metal shavings, and moving machinery
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
