Research Assistant – Detroit MI

Kelly Science and Clinical is currently partnering with a reputable and prestigious university client and recruiting for one qualified, part-time, potential full-time, contract Research Assistant in the Detroit MI area. This role is for a reputable university in the area and may have the potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities:

• Generate sequencing libraries (including whole genome, transcriptome, epigenomic, single cell, 16S and others)
• Fulfill Genome Sciences Core (GSC) services including isolations and QC
• Communicate project progress and results

Qualifications/Education/Skills:

• Bachelor's in a Life Science discipline or higher
• Advanced experience regarding advanced lab skills 
• Knowledge of RNA/DNA library
• Single cell RNA sequencing and NGS sequencing are preferred and highly desirable skills
• Ability to multi-task and work on different, long process sample counting, multiplex as well as single cell plex
• Transcriptomics batches experience
• Good communication and collaborative skills.
• Strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Word
• Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment to complete daily assignments. 

Pay: $28-30/hr
Hours: normal dayshift hours, three days a week to start, preferably in sequential order; for example, Wed – Fri or Mon – Wed.
