Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking Research Associate near Round Lake, IL.

Long term contract 
Shift : Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Compensation: $25-$28/hr 

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Research Associate specializing in Renal Care Products. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and compliance of our products through chemical analysis and sample preparation. Your work will directly contribute to meeting regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of quality in our Renal Care division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform chemical analyses and sample preparation, including solid-phase extraction (SPE) and liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) for E&L screening studies, nitrosamines testing, and impurities evaluations.
  • Conduct experiments to aid in method development and validation, particularly for nitrosamines and E&L analysis, adhering to specified timelines.
  • Generate scientific experimental data following written protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage sample inventory, receipt, handling, and shipping with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist in calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as needed.
  • Document and review laboratory work using an Electronic Laboratory Notebook, ensuring compliance with Baxter's good documentation practices (GDP) and general good laboratory practices (GLP).
  • Adhere to Baxter's Quality Manual, SOPs, and Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) guidelines for proactive compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you must possess the following:

  • Background in analytical chemistry and chemical laboratory practices, preferably from education and/or previous employment experience.
  • Proficiency in operating analytical tools/instruments and wet chemistry sample preparation techniques.
  • Analytical problem-solving mindset, high learning agility, and innovative experimental attitude.
  • Strong drive to learn new skills and information to enhance your knowledge and skillset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity to objectively assess, organize, and communicate information clearly.
  • Strong planning skills to meet project deliverables within deadlines.
  • Openness to provide and accept critical feedback in a constructive manner.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and valuing differences.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Educational Qualification: B.S. or M.S. in chemistry or related field.
  • Preferred emphasis on analytical or organic chemistry.
  • Professional Experience: 0-3 years of relevant experience.
