Research Associate

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Research Associate for a contract-to-hire position at an innovative client located in San Diego, CA. If you're passionate about small molecule research and driven by high-quality scientific exploration, this opportunity offers the next step in your career.

Pay: $40/hour DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift

Overview

The Client is a leader in pharmaceutical research, specializing in small molecule development and committed to advancing scientific discovery. This position is a lab-based role, perfect for individuals with experience in sample analysis, experimental design, and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze samples and compile results in well-structured formats, ensuring all findings are documented accurately.
  • Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintain thorough records in lab notebook formats (e.g., Benchling).
  • Run HPLC and other essential lab equipment.
  • Plan, outline, and execute experiments with guidance from senior scientists.

Qualifications:
  • Education: BS or MS in a relevant scientific field required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in pharmaceuticals, with a year in an industry-compliant setting using GDP. Preference for experience in small molecule research.
  • Technical Skills: At least 2 years in a laboratory setting; proficient with HPLC and related tools. Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential for data management and presentations.
