Description

Robotics Engineer
 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics Engineer to join our team and support advanced automation projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in robot programming (Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Yaskawa) and hands-on expertise in vision systems integration. The position requires up to 50% travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Program and integrate robotic systems across multiple platforms, with emphasis on Fanuc and ABB, and additional exposure to Kawasaki and Yaskawa.

  • Configure, program, and optimize Fanuc iR Vision (2D and 3D/3DV) systems.

  • Work with additional vision platforms such as Cognex and Keyence to meet customer requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and debug robotic and vision applications on-site and remotely.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, controls) to ensure smooth system integration.

  • Provide technical support, training, and documentation for customers.

  • Participate in project planning, installation, commissioning, and after-install service.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience programming and integrating Fanuc and ABB robots (Kawasaki and Yaskawa a strong plus).

  • Expertise with Fanuc iR Vision (2D and 3DV).

  • Familiarity with Cognex and/or Keyence vision systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with offline programming (Fanuc, ABB RobotStudio, or others).

  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).

  • Experience with PLC programming.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
